California born, Nicole Camille Escovedo (1981), better known as Nicole Richie is an American fashion designer, author, actress & TV personality. She is known as the adopted daughter of famous American singer Lionel Richie and the star of the popular TV show The Simple Life, where she starred with another celebrity child, Paris Hilton. At age of three, due her biological family's financial crysis, Nicole went to live with her father's band member, Lionel Richie, and his wife, who officially adopted her in 2003. During The Simple Life's 5-year strech, Nicole was a constant focus of tabloids. Since then, she has written a novel and got married to musician Joel Madden, having two kids, Harlow and Sparrow. Together with Madden, Nicole founded "The Richie Madden Children's Foundation" in 2010.
